Love Letter

Most of us have received or written a love letter for the person we are romantically attracted to in this letter you are putting your feelings on the line in hopes that, that person feels the same way. A few years ago I got to a point in my life were I realized that as young girls women we seek the attention of the opposite sex especially on Valentine’s Day, we anticipate the letters, cards, flowers and candy and we are trained like this from childhood beginning in kindergarten when you use to buy the entire class, but there was always that special someone that you gave that extra lollipop to….

That being said I said to myself there are two people in my life that I’ve failed to acknowledge God and myself, when you think about it so have you. Us girls have days when we pamper ourselves at the spa or go shopping, and get the hair lookin on point, but we treat the outside we forget about the inside. I won’t go into healthy eating right now, but that is something to think about as well. I decided that every now and then I will be writing a love letter to God and myself. The purpose is to learn to encourage yourself to remind yourself of the things that God has done for you, and to know that when it’s all said and done all you have is God and yourself. Family and friends sometimes let you down so who do you have? Boyfriends come and go, who do you have?

I would like all of you to begin from this day forward to begin writing love letters to God and yourself from time to time. Don’t miss out on the most important relationships in your life they are truly life changing; you’re never too young or old to change your life.

Dear Me,

You have not been at your best, you have let the past and the present struggles interfere with your dreams, and the path God laid before you. I want you to know that I Love you thru it all I promise to stand by your side, and remind you of how much you are worth….
